Dear Prayer Partners,
October was a busy month and, in some ways, very challenging. With traveling, the end of the first quarter, preparing for re-accreditation at the school, and various ministry involvements, there were times when I felt stretched thin. However, it is always a blessing to look back at the end of each month and remember the moments of joy. I can see God's hand that continues to support me even through the times that can feel overwhelming.
Highlights
We had a day off of school on October 13th to have a spiritual retreat for the staff. We spent the day at the school worshipping, hearing from the Word, and hearing from staff members about their personal method of studying scripture. I had the opportunity to help lead worship for this retreat.
I flew back to the States for a few days to be a part of my cousin's wedding. I was excited to see fall for a week and spend time with family.
The church that I attend has been working on a project for some time to start up chapels in the surrounding area. They identified locations where they felt there was a spiritual need and have been working on establishing the first chapel. The goal is that some of these chapels can grow into churches in the future and be an extension of our ministry that the Lord can use in the community for years to come. IBEM recently purchased a property for the first chapel and we had the kickoff for this chapel on October 29th. I had privilege of participating in this kickoff by singing on the worship team. It was a special night of anticipating what God will do in that community.
Prayer Requests
Continue to pray for my residency. It is discouraging that I have been working on the process for a year now and still am struggling to figure out some details. I believe I need to go to immigration again next week and ask them what additional paperwork I still need to get. If I do not get residency soon I would need to start all over again with getting a new visa. Please pray for wisdom and patience in navigating this.
Pray for my health. I have been struggling with a few different health issues and it can make it challenging to have the energy and endurance to teach and serve.
Pray for me as I set up a time and begin to meet with my former student to begin discipleship one-on-one.
Pray for our upcoming week of "Semana de la Chispa." This is the week of November 27th and is our school's "spiritual emphasis week." We have additional chapels and Bible lessons this week and it can be an opportunity for students to make decisions for Christ. Please pray that God would prepare hearts and guide speakers and teachers and we teach the Word that week particularly.
Thank you for your continued support and prayers.
Blessings,
Natasha
